Coaches
The 2009 soccer season is here! I appreciate your participation during last season and look forward to your continued participation this season. In order to organize our Club for the upcoming season, I ask your assistance with the following:
Please fill out an adult registration form and sign it. They can be found online here, or you can get one from me or our registrar. We need to have those ASAP, and if you are new this year, you will also need to be fingerprinted.
If you do not already have an "F" coaching license, we need to get you licensed prior to this season. This requires the better part of a weekend of your time but the Club will reimburse you for the cost. (Usually less than $40.00)
The District 6 website has a current list of classes. The California Youth Soccer Association's website also has classes listed within an hour's drive.
If you have an e-mail address, please let me know so I can get information out to you in a timely manner. Look for more information here as we get closer toward the season starting.
Both Coaches & Assistant Coaches are required to obtain a coaching license prior to their second season of coaching. Thanks again for your participation. Feel free to contact me with your responses.
Sincerely,
Jack Millard, Club Manager

Team Parents
FEC would like to welcome and thank all team parents. Team Parents are who keep the teams running smoothly, and we all appreciate those who volunteer. If you are interested, please speak to your child's coach.
We are also looking for someone to coordinate our team parents for this season. Please let Jack know if you are interested.

Team Parent Traditions/Suggestions (please note that these are only suggestions):
- Goal Can - Many teams choose to utilize a "goal can" to collect quarters from spectators after goals are scored. This collection is generally used for the team's end of season party.
- Team Banner - Many teams already have a banner, but some do not. It is not a requirement, but it is a good way to show team spirit. Some banners include the names of the players, which probably need to be updated. Banners can be homemade or a collection can be taken up from the players' families to purchase one.
- Snack Schedule - Traditionally, parents will take turns bringing snacks and/or drinks to each game for the players. The team parent can organize a schedule to make sure someone is responsible for the snacks at each game.
▪ End Of Season Party - Have a party in the park, at a pizza place, someone's home, wherever... Let the kids celebrate the great season with their teammates and the coach can hand out trophies at the same time. - Trophies - Team parents are responsible for getting a list of players' names to FEC manager Jack Millard in time to order trophies. Sometimes the names we have on the player passes (which must match the birth certificates) are not the name that the children go by, so we'd like to make sure everyone gets a trophy with their preferred nickname, middle name, initials, or whatever.
- Coach's Gift - some teams will present a small gift or plaque to their coaches at the end of season party.
